Hi AtLarge,

good looking bike !
Always nice to see pics of parts shipped "around" the world and back in use again ;-)

BTW:
The top fixing of the rear crash bar might show forward, so the bar itself is positioned more upright ?
Have to try myself because I want to fit large side bags protected by the bar and I need that space behind the rear shocks.

Cheers, Michael

She looks the part.

I agree with Michael. Mine are more virtical. I used the link at the bottom.

It does look good inline with the frame though

Yes, I know what you mean by more vertical but they would not fit. I could find no working combination using the links that would not hit the muffler either fore or aft. Or miss align the top bracket after that. This is why i took the rear peg off and mounted it there. I did have the option of moving the top bracket either fore or aft of the shock stud. Forward of the shock would have been too close to my thigh / buttocks and possibly less room for the arc of the kicking leg.  By being behind the shock stud the pillion can still sit comfortably with their feet on the bottom of the rail and the bar follows the contour of the calf. Not in the way at all. These bar sets are slightly longer that the others I have seen on 750's and the top tab is at a 90° not straight off the end.  It all makes a difference but I was able to make it work. I toyed with the idea of saddlebags but I like this cleaner look for now. Since I lost my top case and rear rack / sissy bar in the accident I will probably revert to backpacking my laptop and lunch for work commutes.

The front bars came with brackets that were really fugly.  I fabbed up my own style that are slightly less hideous but much less obtrusive. I did a little rubber dampening too hopefully to prevent any vibrations in the future.  We shall see.

Hi AtLarge,

good looking bike !
Do you feel more confident, with the bars attached, now ?

To bad that the pics are that small.
Optimized size is 1024 x 768 pixels ;-)
You may post them again for us ?

Have fun !

Cheers, Michael
